Doing the Hard Yards

One of the most successful hunting expeditions Graham has ever been involved in was his second attempt to secure a Himalayan Tahr in the mountains of New Zealand.

On the first attempt the animals didn't turn up except for a few chamois.

But eventually one evening just before dusk, a big fellow showed himself and Graham connected with a running shot at three hundred and ninety metres. A trophy 12 inch bull tahr.

Bjorn also got very lucky the next evening and took this magnificent 13 inch bull after a four hour hunt. His shot was from twenty five metres and it took eight more to subdue the trophy.
